If you liked actions RPGs with fantastic writing and countless hilarious lines, pick this game up. This game is 10 years old but it has aged incredibly well due to its art style, kind of like how The Wind Waker has aged. news that the downloadable game is getting a sequel - Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue. Pretty much every NPC you can interact with has around three quests for you, which is absolutely insane, but it's not too hard to keep track of, and you can essentially "buy" hints for the quests, but it's at very little cost to yourself. The writing is hilarious and quick-witted, and is the main allure of this game (at least to me). Seeing that "100%" in your logbook is oh-so-lovely, and you don't really have to grind to get there. The gameplay is so simple and while not exactly innovative, it offers a very satisfying feedback loop of killing, getting new loot, and levelling up. It’s truly unfortunate that the game is that dead online, especially so early in its release. Since then, I haven’t been able to find anyone to play online with. With my time with the game, I’ve played maybe a dozen or so matches online, most of which were with the same person. Unfortunately, when online gets involved, it’s a completely different story. Up to four players can go head-to-head in several stages (with plenty to unlock). In modern times, firearms have largely supplanted bows and crossbows as weapons of warfare. The medieval European crossbow was called by many names, including "crossbow" itself most of these names derived from the word ballista, an ancient Greek torsion siege engine similar in appearance but different in design principle. Crossbows brought about a major shift in the role of projectile weaponry in wars, such as during Qin's unification wars and later the Han campaigns against northern nomads and western states. The earliest known crossbows were made in the first millennium BC, not later than the 7th century BC in ancient China, and not later than the 1st century AD in Greece (as the gastraphetes) each civilization developed the weapon independently. This enables a crossbowman to handle more draw weight, and to hold it with significantly less physical strain, thus potentially achieving better precision. A crossbow has a locking mechanism to maintain the draw, limiting the shooter's exertion to pulling the string into the lock and then releasing the shot by depressing a lever/ trigger. This demands significant physical strength. Ĭrossbows and bows use the same launch principle, but an archer must maintain a bow's draw by pitching the bowstring with fingers, pulling it back with arm and back muscles and then holding that form in order to aim. A person who shoots crossbow is called a crossbowman or an arbalist (after the arbalest, a European crossbow variant used during the 12th century). Crossbows shoot arrow-like projectiles called bolts or quarrels. A crossbow is a ranged weapon using an elastic launching device consisting of a bow-like assembly called a prod, mounted horizontally on a main frame called a tiller, which is hand-held in a similar fashion to the stock of a long firearm. The British infantry section consists of eight soldiers who are normally organised into two four-soldier infantry fireteams.SIG’s MCX family of firearms feature a short-stroke gas piston system that they claim can be configured in up to 500 different combinations. While equipment formations can be tailored as required by section and platoon commanders, infantry sections are usually issued with the following: Weapons.Six L85A2/A3 rifles, two of which are usually equipped with an L123A2/A3 underslung grenade launcher (UGL).One L7A2 general purpose machine gun (can be replaced by an additional L85A2/A3 rifle at commanding officer's discretion for a total of seven L85A2/A3 rifles).元A1 bayonet one for each L85A2/A3 and L129A1 rifles in the section. One L128A1 combat shotgun for use by the section point soldier (point position is subject to rotation between individual members of the section).L132A1 smoke grenades and/or L84A3 red phosphorus smoke grenades.Sight Unit Small Arms, Trilux (SUSAT) or SpecterOS Lightweight Day Sights (LDS).Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) to be used with the L129A1 rifle.Laser Light Module Vario Ray Adaptive Target Acquisition Modules.Head mounted Night Vision System (HNVS), based on the American AN/PVS-14.Commander's target locating systems (CTLS).Personal Role Radio (PRR) – one issued to each member.Īdopted as the new standard issue sidearm to replace the L9A1 pistol, the L47A1 (Walther PP) pistol, and, eventually, the SIG Sauer pistols. The L131A1 is a double action sidearm used for close combat with a magazine capacity of 17 rounds where deemed appropriate, it is the primary weapon of personnel working in operational staff appointments and vehicle commanders and carried as a backup weapon by frontline personnel. Over 25,000 were purchased for use by all branches of the British Armed Forces. The compact Glock 19 variant was also adopted. The SIG Sauer P226 and its compact variants were originally used by the Special Air Service, with additional quantities being purchased under an UOR for use by regular Army units in Iraq and Afghanistan to supplement the L9A1 Browning Hi-Power pistol. The P229 (L117A1/A2) was also a backup weapon for the Royal Military Police Close Protection Unit. Although the L131A1 was later adopted as the replacement for the L9A1, P226 pistols will continue to be used until the end of their life cycles. Standard issue assault rifle with an effective range of 300 to 600 metres. Can be fitted with SUSAT, ACOG, Elcan SpecterOS 4X or Thermal Viper 2 sights. The LLM-Vario Ray laser aiming module and the L123 Underslung Grenade Launcher (UGL) can also be attached. A shortened carbine variant, the L22A2, is used primarily by vehicle and helicopter crews for self-defence and by dog handlers. As the L85A1, it replaced the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle as the standard rifle from 1987 to 1994 when the last L1A1 rifles were removed from service. L85A1 rifles were subsequently upgraded to L85A2 standard from 2001 to 2006, with a railed handguard and a vortex flash eliminator being introduced from 2007. On 11 April 2016, the British Ministry of Defence announced the L85A3 upgrade programme to extend the life of existing weapons to 2025, with changes including upper receiver modifications, a new model of railed handguard to provide a full-length rail system, and a Flat Dark Earth coating for improved camouflage. #Sig sauer 22 srdx suppressor owner manual upgrade The one area where the Nexus 5X is weaker is battery life. It didn’t even get warm while playing Shooting Stars for 30 minutes. In fact, I’d say that only hardcore gamers will even notice that it’s not the fastest processor on the block and only has 2GB of RAM when competitors have three or four. The phone feels snappy, switching apps is rapid, and while it’s not quite the fastest-feeling Android smartphone currently available – that would be the Galaxy S6 – it is on par with the best of the rest. It’s the same processor that LG used in the G4 to great effect. The Nexus 5X uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, not the company’s top of the line octa-core 810. The smartphone is responsive, feature-rich, but battery life could be better. Connectivity: LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C and GPS.Camera: 12.3MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera.Operating system: Android 6.0 Marshmallow.Processor: hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808.The Galaxy S6’s 5.1in 2K display with 577ppi is technically sharper, but it is very difficult to spot the difference at that size of screen. It has a 1080p resolution, a density of 423 pixels per inch and is pin sharp. The buttons on the side feel a little basic and cheap, but the rest of the phone feels very well built. It doesn’t feel quite as premium as the iPhone or Galaxy S6, but its plastic is high quality, warm to the touch and a lot easier to hold onto. The iPhone 6S is 7.1mm thick and weighs 143g. The 6.8mm thick Samsung Galaxy S6, for instance, weighs 138g. It is 7.9mm thick, covered in a smooth soft-touch plastic, and weighs 136g, making it one of the lightest top-end smartphones currently available. The top and bottom speakers do not work as a stereo pair, unfortunately. It’s still a relatively compact smartphone, but now has a 5.2in screen and a longer body than the Nexus 5, which lets it fit in a front-facing speaker at the bottom. I don't find the hues to be overly saturated, though some people may find this to look washed out.The 2013 Nexus 5 on the left, the new Nexus 5X on the right. The screen size isn't as big as the 6-inch Nexus 6, but the color is more accurate. The 5.7-inch display of the Nexus 6P is a better fit for watching HD movies in a 16:9 aspect ratio when compared to the old Nexus 5. It's a shame, because Google has a fantastic keyboard by default, with finger swiping enabled on the frontend and a smarter autocorrect system in the backend. My messages go to the original messenger and no one else. Group messaging with a number of iPhone users is also a problem (this one problem isn't necessarily Google's fault). It's better, but can't really top Apple's iMessages way of doing things.Īs I explained in my Nexus 5X review, text messages are isolated on my Nexus 6P when using the Messenger app, and Hangouts confuses people by integrating my work email or my Google Voice number. Google, of course, still packs in Hangouts, which was redesigned over the summer for both iOS and then Android. It does, however, offer a clean and simple SMS app called Messenger (different from Facebook's identically named Messenger app). Nothing ties them together, and the Nexus 6P software doesn't fix this. I've never been a big fan of messaging on Android, because so many of my contacts use different apps. I haven't witnessed any battery improvements thanks to the improved Doze mode, but again the software is yet to be optimised so hopefully it will be more noticeable come the find build in a few weeks. Some apps don't work just yet, so be prepared to want to revert back to Android Marshmallow if you'll miss them too much. It's in beta and work perfectly, as smooth and as feature packed as has been running on my 6P. Of course, this is still an unfinished build of Android Nougat. There's a handy recently used apps row at the very top to take away some of the pain. Prepare your brain, since it now has you scroll up and down (no longer left to right). The last thing I'll touch on before getting into specific apps is the all-encompassing app drawer. The Google Play Store acts as your portal to downloading everything else, from Facebook and Instagram to LastPass and Pandora. Inside is Play Music, Play Movies & TV and Play Games. Pinned to the home screen are Google's camera, SMS Messenger and Play multimedia apps in a folder. Media can be accessed in Daemon Sync at /media/DAEMONSyncStorage/.Rsync ( Remote Sync) is the most commonly used command for copying and synchronizing files and directories remotely as well as locally in Linux/ Unix systems. Please sync all photos and videos to the server by clicking “settings” in the app, then change the sync setting to “automatic”. Go back to the browser tab, enter the correct pin and everything should start working. After that, you will be asked to enter a PIN to gain access. Open the mobile app and it will automatically detect any Daemon Sync servers running on the network. Copy this address, open a new browser tab, and enter this address to access the interface: Running ip addr together with grep will leak all information except the local IP address that the server has with the router. To do this, SSH into the server and run ip addr. Are you using a remote server on your network? If this is the case, you will first need to find the remote IP address of the server. To start using the Daemon Sync program, open a new browser tab and enter the following URL: Instead, the user installs the server program, downloads the or application, and connects the two. There are no systemd services to enable, files to move, or permissions to set. The Daemon Sync program is quite easy to use compared to many other synchronization tools. When you have downloaded the latest version of Daemon Sync, follow our guide to learn how to manually deconstruct Debian packages. For best results, study what Daemon Sync installs when apt install -fe is run and try to find the equivalent packages for your operating system. Going this route is tricky, as the dependencies of other Linux distributions will not match those of Ubuntu/Debian. If you extract the correct data, there is a good chance that you can get the internal program to work. It’s relatively common knowledge that Debian package files are just AR files with files inside. It’s best to study the ones that Daemon Sync installs on Ubuntu/Debian and look for the Fedora/OpenSUSE equivalents.Īnd follow our guide here to learn how to convert it to RPM. Please understand that Alien has no way of determining which dependencies are translated to for RPM. Note: Alien can also be converted to packages. Alien isn’t perfect, but it does an excellent job of parsing foreign packages and turning them into something more usable. Probably the best luck getting this software to work on Linux distributions that use RPM packages is to convert them, using the Alien tool. If you can’t get it to work in a non-Ubuntu/Debian setup, it may be best to create a virtual machine running Daemon Sync on your server or PC. One thing to keep in mind when following these instructions though: Daemon Sync can only be installed via a Debian package, so decompiling it for your Linux distribution may not work at all.įollow these steps at your own risk. However, there are ways to make this program work. Other LinuxĪs stated above, the Daemon Sync app is not officially supported for Linux users outside of Ubuntu and Debian. If for some reason you haven’t, it’s a good idea to run the dpkg command one more time. When you run the install -f command, it automatically diagnoses the necessary missing packages and quickly installs them.Īfter that, Daemon Sync should install successfully. On the command line, the easiest way to fix this is to use the -f flag in the Apt package manager. Due to the nature of how Debian packages sometimes work, it has dependency problems and must be fixed by the user. Installing the Daemon Sync server package inside Ubuntu, Debian or their derivatives does not work out of the box. Note: Daemon Sync markets its Linux program as server software, but it will work on Ubuntu/Debian desktop PCs just as well as on servers. Then open a terminal and use the dpkg tool to install the server package. It should automatically detect that you are running Linux. To begin the installation, go to the Daemon Sync website and click the download button. Still, it’s nice to see there’s at least some support for the platform. There is no independent software repository or PPA, and it appears that the Linux version of Daemon Sync is “server only”. Officially, Daemon Sync is only compatible with Ubuntu, Debian, and other Linux operating systems that also use Debian packages. Install Daemon Syncĭaemon Sync installation on Linux is limited to only a few select Linux distributions. It is proprietary software that allows users to sync their data between computers, including smartphones (iOS/Android). Another file synchronization solution that Linux users can try is Daemon Sync. At, we have covered Rsync, Syncthing and Resilio synchronization. There are many solutions to sync files from one computer to another on Linux. “Folder References” specify Files and Folders to be included in the Project Drawer.
